Our partner, a German software company with years of experience in Kosovo, has entrusted us to refer the best candidates for the position of Senior Cloud Data Engineer
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in cloud data engineering, with expertise in Azure Databricks, Python, and Apache Spark. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and systems that support complex data processing. This role will also involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data quality, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- · Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using Azure Databricks.
- · Implement Python and Spark to develop data processing solutions.
- · Create and manage data integration solutions using Azure Data Factory.
- · Work with Azure SQL / SQL Server to manage large-scale data storage and ensure high performance.
- · Develop, test, and deploy CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (optional).
- · Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, and other engineering teams to understand data needs and deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions.
- · Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in all engineering practices.
- · Optimize existing data pipelines and architectures for scalability and performance.
- · Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system performance and data workflows.
Required Skills:
- · 5+ years of experience in cloud data engineering.
- · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- · Expertise in Azure Databricks, Python Development, and Spark Development.
- · Strong experience with Azure Data Factory for data integration.
- · In-depth knowledge of Azure SQL / SQL Server.
- · Familiarity with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines (optional).
- · Strong understanding of data pipeline design, data modeling, and ETL processes.
- · Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- · Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- · Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD integration.
- · Proficiency in data pipeline automation and orchestration.
- · Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
- · Experience with large-scale data processing and performance tuning.
